BDB Law Speaks: Atty. Du-Baladad speaks at the International Women Entrepreneurs Summit 2019 in Kathmandu, Nepal
BDB Law’s Founding Partner, Chair and CEO Dick Du-Baladad was invited to share her insights during the International Women Entrepreneurs Summit 2019 held in Kathmandu, Nepal last September 13-14, 2019.
She shared that to up-scale women’s businesses through investment, these factors must come into play:
· a joint cooperation from various sectors such as financing institutions and venture capital firms making more funds available for investing in women’s enterprises;
· government providing platforms and visibility to women entrepreneurs so that they get the attention of investors and funders;
· educational institutions and business support organizations making available training opportunities for women entrepreneurs so that they are able to manage and scale up their businesses; and
· for women themselves to have more confidence in their ability to engage in business and become competitive in whatever arena they will want to explore.
The summit was attended by public, private sectors, businesswomen leaders, investors, development practitioners, social entrepreneurs, youths and startups from different regions.
