Angelo S. Macaranas
Junior Associate

Angelo “Gelo” S. Macaranas is a Junior Associate of Du-Baladad and Associates (BDB Law). He is a CPA-Lawyer and practices in taxation, litigation, and general corporate law.

At BDB Law, Gelo handles tax litigation, tax assessments, claims for refunds, local taxation, mergers and acquisitions, requests for rulings with the Bureau of Internal Revenue and Bureau of Local Government Finance, applications for tax treaty relief, special projects, and corporate services.

Gelo regularly appears before the Court of Tax Appeals and regular courts for tax litigations. He also appears before the Bureau of Internal Revenue and other local government units.

He received his bachelor’s degree in Accountancy in 2013 from Philippine School of Business Administration – Manila and his Juris Doctor degree in 2021 from Far Eastern University - Makati. He was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2022.

Gelo loves to play basketball and watch anime. He enjoys eating food.
